    In 1953, Dr. T. M. A. Pai founded India's first private medical school, the Kasturba Medical College, and five years later the Manipal Institute of Technology was established. Initially, degrees were awarded by Karnataka University, Dharwad and later University of Mysore. From 1980 to 1993 they were awarded by Mangalore University. The current organizational structure was formed in 1993, when Manipal Academy of Higher Education was accorded deemed university status by the UGC.   • Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS)

    The Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, popularly known as BITS Pilani, is located in Rajasthan and was established in 1964. ·      Chandigarh University (CU) is a private institution located in (Gharuan) Mohali, Punjab, India, near Chandigarh.

·      Year established -2012  

·      Professor Satnam Singh Sandhu is chancellor of the university. According to the Information Technology Report, the university was the top single institution in India in the filing of patents for the year 2020.
